Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started is simple.
Either reach out through the contact form on the website,
or send me an email: caitlynmackenziepsychology@gmail.com
I will then get in touch with you to answer any questions, book a free discovery call (10-15 mins) or arrange a first appointment if appropriate.
-
Simply put, no.
However, sessions become much more affordable if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.
See Fees & Rebates for more information.
-
You won’t, at least not initially. Finding a Psychologist who matches with you well can sometimes take a little trial and error.
But, if you're looking for someone who:
takes their work seriously, without taking themselves too seriously
is passionate about what they know, and honest about what they don't
collaborates rather than dictates
is comfortable thinking outside the box
is committed to continually learning and growing
practises what they preach
...then you might be starting in the right place.
-
I offer a free (10-15 mins) discovery call to every new client.
Sessions are all 50 minutes and are at a set fee. For current fees, please reach out.
For further information see Fees & Rebates.

You can add your card details to our secure booking system, Halaxy, for seamless payment processing.

Entry to the single-level building is via a single step from the street. Please get in touch if this does not meet your access needs so that we can discuss a more accessible alternative.
Upon entering the building simply take a seat at reception and I’ll meet you there at your appointment time.

Consider the first session a little bit of a get-to-know you, for both of us.
I will want to know a bit about you, including what brings you to therapy, and what you might hope to get out of it.
You may have questions for me, about how I practice or what your journey with me could look like.
There’s absolutely no way we will learn everything about each other in the first session, but hopefully you will walk away with a sense of whether or not this is a space you’d like to return to.
